“Rethinking Globalization”

Bradford NUT Equal Opportunities Group recently discovered a teaching resource for secondary schools which shows in an accessible way the human cost of our consumer society. The informative articles on sweat shops, child labour and the culpability of some multi-national companies are backed up by useful lesson plans and photocopyable activity sheets.

The full title of the book is “Rethinking Globalization: Teaching for Justice in an Unjust World” and it’s by two American editors, Bill Bigelow and Bob Peterson (so you’ll have to explain why there is no “s” in “math”).

The price is approximately £13 and it can be ordered from the website,

where a selection of the contents can also be viewed.
